Dr. Vinod Gauba comes from a strong medical background in the UAE with his family being in the Dubai healthcare sector for over 30 years as specialist doctors. His father was one of the first few Ophthalmologists in the UAE.
Dr. Gauba was raised in the UAE but born and fully trained in United Kingdom. After completing his medical degree (with honours) from Guy's King's and St.Thomas' School of Medicine in London, he proceeded to train for 7 years in Ophthalmology. Dr Gauba has over 13 years experience in the UK after which he joined the Imperial Healthcare team as the medical director in 2008.
Dr. Gauba speaks English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and has a post-graduate qualification in Arabic along with speaking Khaleeji Arabic.

Dr. Christophe P. Ribelayga is Assistant professor of Optometry & Vision Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He earned a Ph.D in Neuroscience from University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France followed with postdoctorial training in University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL, USA. He has given over 20 lectures and he is an Editorial board member for national and international scientific journals like International Scholarly Research Network, Journal of Ophthalmology and Clinical Research (OCR); Journal of Bioinformatics, Computational and Systems Biology (JBCS); Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research (JBMBR); Ophthalmology – Open Journal. He is the author of 26 peer reviewed articles in scientific journals. His current research is on Circadian Signaling in the Retina.

Dr. Hadi M. Khazaei, did his MBBS from Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore in 1998 and then went on to do his MS in Ophthalmology at PGI, Chandigarh in 2002. He did a fellowship in Orbit, Oculoplasty & Oncology at the Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.Subsequently he was the Medical consultant & Assistant professor in ophthalmology orbit - Oculoplasty department. Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He has a special interest in ocular oncology and pathology and is a PhD scholar in Ophthalmology M.G.R University, Chennai. He is working on the in vitro chemo sensitivity of Retinoblastoma cells to oncotherapeutic agents. He is a highly skilled surgeon specializing in oculoplasty and orbital surgery. He is now the head of the Department and Medical Consultant Orbit, Oculoplasty & Oncology. Dr.Ava Hossain is an author of 60 publications and co-author of another 70 publications in different journal of Ophthalmology and other medical journal has delivered a good number of invited lectures in country and abroad.
Dr. Rowayda Amin Alieldin
Rowayda Amin Alieldin currently working as Assistant lecturer of Ophthalmology, Alexandria University, Egypt. She was graduated from Alexandria School of Medicine, trained in Uveitis under the parentage of Professor JE Thorne at Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, and has founded a tertiary uveitis service in Alexandria University.She runs a daily clinic and is active in providing clinical care for uveitis patients and educating young ophthalmologists in this field both locally and internationally.
Dr. Alieldin participates in international clinical and epidemiological studies on uveitis. Her research activity involves clinical and etiological studies in infectious uveitis. She is currently a senior clinical fellow in Medical Retina and Uveitis at the Royal Eye Hospital in Manchester, UK and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on uveitis and presented her work in regional and international symposia.
Dr. M. Nazrul Islam
Prof. Dr. M. Nazrul Islam is Professor of Ophthalmology at BIRDEM Hospital, Dhaka, and Senior Glaucoma Consultant, cataract surgeon, and Director of Bangladesh Eye Hospital. He trained in phacoemulsification with Dr. Pannet Pangputhipong in 1997 and in glaucoma surgery with Prof. Robert Ritch in 2005. He is the President of Bangladesh Eye Care Society and Immediate Past President of the Bangladesh Glaucoma Society. At present he is the Chairman of Jessore Community Eye Hospital in Bangladesh, Board member of the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS), Board member of Asian Angle Closure Glaucoma Club(AACGC) and Vice President of the Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeon.
Prof. Dr. M. Nazrul Islam is Chief Editor of the Journal of Bangladesh Glaucoma Society and has written five books on eye in his own language Bangla. He has been widely acknowledged with national and international awards for service in ophthalmic field.
Dr. Rola N Hamam

Dr. Rola Hamam is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the American University of Beirut. She is the director of the residency training program and the medical retina fellowship training program. She received her BS degree in biology from the American University of Beirut in 1998 and her MD in 2002. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the same institution then had fellowship training at Harvard University in Boston at the Beetham Eye Institute, the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution with Doctor C Stephen Foster until 2008. She returned to her home country and joined her Alma matter in 2009 to start the first uveitis specialty referral clinic in the country at the American University of Beirut. Doctor Hamam is a member of several national and international societies.
Dr. Rola Hamam has organized and lectured on ocular immunology and uveitis in many national and international conferences and scientific meetings. She is involved in multiple research projects on ocular inflammatory and infectious disease and she continues to contribute scientific publications in the field.
